2023 Week Notes - Week 36

I had a frustrating basketball session this week. Not long into the session, I was competing for a loose ball and took an unintentional blow to my right calf which resulted in a dead leg. Rather than doing the sensible thing and sitting out until the numbing sensation went away, I tried to carry on playing. I was subconsciously over compensating every action on my right leg so when trying to jump straight, I was jumping slightly to the left and every time I shot the ball I was already off balance. I left the session early, feeling disappointed that the session didn't go as well as I'd hoped.

I started playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the PlayStation. I played the previous Square Enix Tomb Raider games on Google Stadia and had enjoyed them both so I had been looking forward to starting this game. I managed around 6 hours of gameplay according to the PlayStation app, and I managed to pet all the llamas!

The weather has been uncomfortably warm this week. Temperatures have peaked at upwards of 30°C during the daytime and the evenings haven't been much cooler. I've avoided going outside (more than I normally would) and chose to site in front of a fan instead.

I spent a bit of time this week working out the format that I need my short notes to be in so that they can be displayed on this site. Most of this work is making sure that I set frontmatter properties to values that work with the existing data that I have, and the templates that I already use to display my Mastodon posts. It is possible that this could result in a major refactor but I'm keen to avoid that scenario.
