Week Notes - Week 27

A much needed break from work this week as I went on holiday to Bude in Cornwall with Becka. In addition to snacking on pasties, we ate at some great places in Bude, namely Potters, The Bank at Bude and La Bocca. Admittedly I was too busy eating to remember to take any photos of what I ate.

View from the South West Coastal Path by Bude. There's a dirt path surrounded by green grass that lines the clifftop. At the bottom of the cliff is a sandy beach.
The section of the South West Coastal Path just north of Crooklets Beach.

We also took a trip to Tintagel Castle which has great views along the coastline but is a bit steep in places. The bridge which was installed in 2019 that connects the mainland and the island does remove a large section of steep climbs. We then had a brief stop at the medieval harbour in Boscastle on our way back to Bude.

An attempt at a selfie by Declan and Becka with the Tintagel coastline behind them.

What I've been reading:

  • I managed a chapter of Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. The past couple of books I've read have had chapters that are at most 10 pages and this one had 30 pages in the first chapter, so finding the time to concentrate for 30 pages is a bit of a challenge.
