Week Notes - Week 28

A new laptop, first basketball session of pre-season and what else I've been up to over the last seven days.

My big excitement this week was that I've upgraded my laptop and now have a Surface Pro 8. It feels a little strange to be using a tablet as a development machine, but I've been surprised at how comfortably it has coped with some relatively power hungry applications. Being able to write these notes from somewhere other than my desk has greatly improved the writing experience.

I was also back playing basketball this week in my first session of pre-season. The warm weather, lack of practice and a lack of fitness levels meant it was a much tougher session than normal.

I've been gaming a fair bit this week too. Many hours were spent playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and taking advantage of the ability to play on my Surface and Chromecast with Google TV. The prequel Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, took me 12 and a half hours to finish the story. At the time of writing, Rise of the Tomb Raider has consumed nearly 11 hours and judging by walkthroughs available online I'm roughly half way through the story.
